Who we work with

Participants who want to keep competing

We work with NDIS participants who have a sport or a performance goal, at any level. The common thread is having something you are working towards, not the standard you compete at.

Para-athletes

Athletes training or competing at club, state, national or Paralympic level, with programming written around the sport and the classification.

Community sport

Participants who play week to week and want to hold up across a season, or who are working back towards a sport after injury or surgery.

Adaptive sport

Wheelchair sport, seated throws, para-cycling and adaptive aquatics, including the shoulder load that comes with daily propulsion.

Neurological conditions

Stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury, where the work is strength, walking and the endurance to last a whole day.

After surgery

Orthopaedic rehabilitation under an NDIS plan, with the decision to progress made against objective testing rather than the calendar.

Building capacity

Participants rebuilding after a long admission or a period of inactivity, where the first job is tolerance and the second is strength.

Why SportsFit

Sport is the starting point, not an afterthought

Most NDIS therapy is written around daily function, which matters and is not the whole picture. If your goal is playing, training or competing, the programme has to be built for that from the beginning.

Three of our clinicians have worked in Paralympic and adaptive sport, at the Wheelchair Rugby World Cup, with the NSW Paralympic Football team and with the Australian Paralympic Volleyball team. Both clinics have a full gym floor and one-to-one sessions. Five Dock has force plates and the anti-gravity treadmill.
